Saturday morning I woke up to Tripp being extra fussy. You have to understand that when I say "fussy" and am speaking about Tripp and Sophie it might not necessarily be the kind of fussy you are imagining. People sometimes look at me like I am crazy when I say Tripp is being fussy, because compared to lots of other babies out there he's really not. It was the same with Sophie. Both babies are very content and always have been (except Sophie now that she is 2 ... but that's so another post!).
Believe what you want, but I'm being honest when I say Tripp is fussy sometimes. For him, a little squealing and antsiness is fussy. I can usually just tell by looking at him that something is wrong. He really wears his emotions on his sleeve and he shows visible signs of uncomfortableness when he doesn't feel well. He complains with a few yells and grunts, sometimes a cry here or there, but generally that's the extent of his fussiness. Well fussy is what Tripp was on Saturday - all day. He wouldn't nap at all, which didn't help matters any. Sunday morning he woke up pretty early and was still fussy. I eventually found the culprit, well beyond the initial culprit, his croup. He cut another tooth! This makes 6.
He finally is getting the matching tooth to his 1st tooth - the bottom center tooth. The new one is on his right. It also looks like he's going to be getting another 1 or 2 on the bottom any day. I think a few "symptoms", if you will, to his teething are red cheeks, earlier wake up times, no napping, and sticking just one finger in his mouth on the side the tooth is going to come in on. Tripp was definitely more fussy than last with this teething session, but I'm not sure that had to do with just the tooth. Little dude was sick with croup and teething. That's tough on a sweet little 8 month old. Poor little guy! Love you Tripp!

So many teeth!
Teeth, teeth, everywhere! Man, oh man, are we in the thick of teething in this house. Luckily for us, you wouldn't even know it. Both kids are doing well with the teething - sleeping fine, eating well, and overall still very pleasant. We are so lucky that we don't have any mood altering issues with teething.
Tripp now has 4 teeth - 3 on top, 1 on the bottom. Those include his two top center teeth, first tooth to the left of the center, and bottom center left. I looked in his mouth last night and the first tooth next to the right center is about to pop through. He may get his bottom right soon as well. There is a lot of white under his gums, so who knows he may get more teeth than that. He basically got 4 teeth in a matter of 6 days. Talk about an overachiever! :-)
Sophie is still getting the 2nd tooth to the right of the center. That has been coming in forever. Actually all of those respective teeth on top and bottom have been taking a long time to come in. However, when I was brushing her teeth this morning I noticed that she is getting her 2 year molars. Wow! She's going to have a full mouth of teeth. That's probably pretty good, because the way that Tripp is getting teeth he will surpass her if she doesn't hurry up and get all her teeth. LOL

I stand corrected!
Tripp has another tooth! That makes 2. In a frantic post earlier today, I wrote that Tripp now has 1 tooth. I stand corrected. He now has 2.
When Tripp went to school today, he had 1 tooth ... when he came home he had 2. Wow! There is another tooth just waiting to pop through next to the one that came in today. I actually thought the third had come through, but I can't feel it so I guess it's just under the surface waiting to make its entrance.
So to recap, Tripp has 1 left bottom center tooth, 1 top left next to the center tooth, and the right center tooth just waiting to pop through. That is one strange pattern ... how weird is that?
Ok, I'm rambling about the teeth, mainly in disbelief that he has them, so I'm just going to let it go for now.
